Few perch?

still had 5" but was wet on top and looked to be a little honeycombed.
had no spud, so just checked the edges. couple cold nights and should be good to go,if we don't get too much rain?
-
solid 6" of clear ice today -only bad spot was right on the ramp to 10' away. the rest was solid. could catch anything but dink perch though.

Im thinking of fishing there on 1/22 (wednesday). I should be there around 8:30. have to get my kids to the sitter.
Let me know if anyone is intereted. I have a few spots that generaly work good when the small fish invade the south shore.

I might be in for that! I'll know better by monday
-
Sounds Good!!
Let me know when you know becuase im considering the North lake at Spencer or Chippewa aswell.
-
wouldn't mind trying one of those either. been wanting to hit Chippewa for awhile, but never wanted to spend the time to get figure my way around over there. haven't had time to scout it

I have a vex and a camera. If yo u have a vex we will definetly find the fish. I got a lead on another area lake we could try. PM me and we can iron out the details.

Sounds good. Where do you want to go? I'm flexible. Good to go from 830 till whenever.
-
only fished wellington once and never fished spencer or Chippewa. which one has better fishing/or hot now?
-
Wellingtons south side has been slow. Never fished Chippewa. We have been on the fish at Spencer for the last week, gills only and a few small crappie. Hoping to look for something other than gills. I hear Chippewa has good crappie. I've got some spots on the north side of Wellington that should produce crappie perch and walleye.

wellington it is then! 8:30-9:00? will meet you there
-
sounds like a plan.
see you around 8:30 - 9:00

Usually I am able to check the up ground. Work and family has been tying me up. Can anyone givw me a first hand report?? It is appreciated. ER

14" of ice. Some snow on top. Small area just northeast of ramp a little wet under the snow. Whole lake is locked. The bite has been extremely slow. There have been a few guys out, with same results. Lots of tiny perch again.

That's what I have been hearing as well. Thinking that place has been hit pretty hard in the summer and now it's drying up. Hope something happens because I used to love fishing there on the ice.
Thanks again for the conditions report, now I have to decide what I should hit from Ridgeville. Going to be on Erie again this week but taking a co-worker out who has never fished the hardwater before and wanted something closer to home.
Wondering what else to do, as this had always been my go to spot for inland.
