Rocky Fork / Fishing Update 10/27/10
« on: October 27, 2010, 02:10:11 PM »
Kim Slaughter reporting from Rocky Fork Marine (http://www.rockyforkmarine.com/).   10/27/10 What a beautiful day to go fishing!  A storm blew through yesterday and cooled things off considerably. Today is very mild and bass, white bass, blue gill and crapping doing well.  According to the moon phase, the best time of day to fish this week would be early morning 4am – 7am and early evening 4-8pm.  If you are fishing by boat, don’t forget that winterizing is important for good performance next year.  Rocky Fork Marine can winterize your boat and we also have outdoor storage available at our RT50 facility. :)

Rocky Fork / Rocky Fork Lake Fishing Report 10/17/10
« on: October 17, 2010, 12:16:47 PM »
;) White Bass are doing well this week and anglers are still bringing in the saugeye.  Bluegill and crappie are doing well and as the weather cools they will be the most popular catch.  The east shore of Rocky Fork Lake is the deepest part measuring 40 ft in the middle.  At the end of the docs you can fish at depths of 25 – 30 feet giving the advantage over shore fishing as the water temperature fluctuates during the day.  The boats docked on the lake pull out by November 1st so the docks open up to fishing more easily.  When the lake freezes this winter, anglers regularly sit on the docks, drill a hole in the ice and enjoy a hot cup of coffee from Rocky Fork Marine. Photos of fish caught at Rocky Fork Lake can be viewed at www.rockyforkmarine.com .
