Even after the loss, Buckeyes are still the best pro team in Ohio.
GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aint that the truth.  Its going to be interesting to see what happens against Michigan.  Theres was a lot of pouting and finger pointing after that loss, it will be interesting to see if they feel that they have nothing left to play for or if they lick their wounds, move on and play for pride.
Due to the fact that the MSU/PSU game isnt until after the OSU/Michigan game, they wont know until Sat night if they are playing for a spot in the B1G championship game or if they are playing for a better bowl game.

Well, the Packers/Vikings game was certainly fun.  I never get tired of hearing the, "GO PACK GO" chant in Minnesota.  ;D

At least my other favorite NFL team is sitting at 7-2. Few thought the Vikings would be good this year, but a win at home vs the Pack this weekend would leave them sitting pretty with 6 games left.
Its going to be an interesting game.  I expect the Vikings will probably win but when these 2 teams play theres no love lost, so anything could happen.

Bluejackets got shut out by Ottawa last night, so business as usual.
Even still theyve been doing much better lately.  They beat Nashville 4-0 last night.

All new gear for me this year, other than a couple of jigging poles that somehow made it here from Wisconsin.
I did pick up an Eskimo 6" hand auger, a couple Frabill dogbone tipups, HT Fish 'n Sit, lines, steel leaders, Eskimo fur trader hat, new gloves and today I ordered a St Croix 28" UL jigging pole.

First time in my life I fished on ice in November. Last season was November-March. I ice fished in parts of 5 months in Ohio. It was awesome! !  We won't get November this year, but I'm going for 4 months anyway!  ;D
Yeah, the last 2 winters have been crazy.  I moved to Ohio 3 years ago thinking it would be milder winters than what Im used to and the last 2 winters have been almost like a normal winter in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
It was always kind of funny though when my coworkers would be like, "its sooooo cold!" and Id shrug my shoulders and be like, "I dunno...this is like, normal for me."  :D

Well, I mean, thats the Browns, right?  At least you still have the Cavs, Buckeyes and Bengals.  Heck, even the Blue Jackets are starting to turn it around.
The Browns are the Browns.  I feel your pain but until they make some major changes to the ownership and management of that team, I dont see it changing.

I wonder if you could take some ice screws like what they put in ATV and motorcycle tires.  Theyre a bit shorter than sheetmetal screws and would make me a little less anxious than drilling sheetmetal screws into my boots.

If you guys are in the mood for ice now, just wait until this weekend when the daytime high temps are in the high 30s/low 40s.

Yaktraks.
??
I think your response was even shorter than mine was.  ;)  I guess what I should have said is that Im a big fan of Yaktraks.  I use the Walkers.  No need to go all crazy and get the fancy ones, IMO.

I am from Michigan originally and feared the same things I now dedicate my time in Ohio trying to break this myth and my time outside of Ohi trying to put this s state back on the ice belt map where it belongs
Thanks.  My wife thinks Im crazy for wanting to ice fish in Ohio.  Shes from Maryland and I met her when she was living in Madison, so I pounded into her head the notion that theres no such thing as safe ice.  She always wanted to drive her car on the ice in northern Wisconsin and I would never let her.  I think I may have given her an irrational fear of it. LOL  It probably doesnt help that we're both big fans of the show, "Ice Lake Rebels" and they constantly talk about how dangerous the ice can be.
I'll give ice fishing in Ohio a shot though.  The gear is so cheap and simple, I mean, why not?
