Looks like Tawas Bay has 12+ inches of ice looks like the place to be!

I wish I had the time/money to make a trip out of there. I saw your post on M-S. I think it would be a good time. Becareful they are gettin whacked with snow though this weekend! are you going up?

Just be careful with Saginaw a guy went through the ice there last week.

I would like to get up there but have school during the week. If we can't do the mosquito tourney then I may try to meet ya there the 17th!

My dad and I were up last weekend and had some issues with the airboat so we did not get out far. 

But was out of Thomas road and a couple guys went through just off the main trail we were headed out when they were pulling one of the quads that went in back to shore on a flat bed. The guys going out of the west are blasting over a now frozen crack that is about 50 yards wide with snowmobiles. Hammer it bring up the front and hoping for the best.

Ice is like lake Erie. Cracks and some shove ice. Talk to the locals they will give you some info. Check out Michigansportsman.com they have a Saginaw bay forum with a bunch of info.

They are getting fish if you can get into 12-22 foot of water.
