The expo is rapidly approaching. Will be nice to see our Northern brethren again. Will probably wait until Sun. this year and try to capitalize on some close out deals. Hope they have more ice fishing gear this year. Looking forward to seeing all that show up.

Mullygyn and I ventured out at Moundwood yesterday. Had 3-3.5 inches of gray ice. 4 to 6 fishermen fishing most of the time. Marked maybe a dozen fish in over 4 hours fishing with no takers. Saw 1 16 to 17 in. eye caught. Will not trust the ice there the rest of this year with the warming temps.

I am going to buy a hard case for my ice rods and I was wondering if any members have any recommendations as to which one to buy. Pros and cons on the different models would be helpful in making my decision.

Fished Rocky Fork last Fri. and Sun. Caught crappies and the same 20 inch bass both days from the same dock. Caught everything on a 3/16 obsidian colored vibe. I was the only one on the docks Fri. when the wind was atrocious. Only one other guy fishing and he had 20 keeper crappies when I left. Just nice to get out.

Don't forget the walleye limit is 4 a day now through April. Heard the ODNR is really checking boats for hidden fish. They are opening all hatches and storage compartments.

It's March 1 already so you need a new fishing or hunting license now. Be sure to check your boats to see if they need new stickers too. Spending a few dollars now may save a big fine if you don't have your current license.

Wish the wind would give us a break. The temps are low enough to make ice but the high winds are impeding the process. If the wind doesn't stop, walking on Indian next weekend looks doubtful.

Most times when I lg in, it kicks me to the incorrect password page. Type in same password and it logs me in. Was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

It's back to fishing the docks since round 2 is over. Fished Rocky Fork docks for a few hours yesterday and caught 11 - 12 inch crappies, 1 10 1/2 inch perch and some small bluegills. The crappies were completely engulfing a 3/16 vibe. Not as much fun as saugeyes through the ice, but will do until round 3 comes around.

The weather is looking promising starting Wed. With any luck, Indian will be fishable Sun. Hope there is ice Sat. for demo day at Indian.
