I have to work saturday and decided to hunt the afternoon an try an fill my last tag.. I WILL be out sunday first thing! starting at wingfoot if i'm not comfortable to fish there i'll head to palm rd or my pond... i'm goin somewhere jus don know where. let me know if you're gonna be out sunday and we'll meet up!

Me too! I'm gettin tired of goin thru my gear i think i have changed bait setups 3 times in the last week! i need to be on some ice!!

I also checked it on my way home last night and I think there may be a good chance to be fishing there by the weekend since a majority of the snow was blown off. i went out on the end of the docks at both locations and couldn't get the ice to crack (while i was holding onto the pole th dock is connected to) i was pounding my boots on it an bouncing on it, so i think there is a good chance for the weekend. now i will just have to decide if i should try and fill my last deer tag or check the ice to see if it is safe enough to get out??

k, I live on Eberly close to where the old baseball fields used to be. I am out every chance I can get. we'll definatly get out and do some fishing together..

We have more than 8in of the white stuff here @ work in Kent just since about 5am or so. i sure hope it gets blown off the ice!! i wanna get fishin!!

well i ordered it last week.. with my giftcards and their $20 off a $100 purchase i paid $33 for it so i couldn't really pass it up. but it was backordered and they didn't specify a time frame for the backorder like they normally do. now i am hearing from another site that there are problems with them and that is why they are backordered  i guess we'll see, i think it would work awesome hope they can get it to me soon!!

I use a Strikemaster Lazer 6in and I'm happy with it. it drills great for me. I have never used anything else. I always hear great stuff about the Nils augers.

Just got back from checking the ice...UNSAFE.... 1/2" clear ice, 1 1/2" slush, 1" of white ice. @ the main boat ramp.. at the boat ramp closest to the railroad tracks/springfield someone drove a boat from across the lake through about an inch or more of white ice and took it out of the water. so everywhere i could check from dock/shore was thin even from shore away from the dock. probably next weekend at the earliest.

Depending on where you fish and how much of a drag you'll have, they are considerably harder to drag especially in deep snow/slush. BUT, I would trade mine for anything I love the room you have to fish. i have an older Frabill 2 man flip. it is very similar to the newer Frabill Trekker 2man.

Just got back from a quick stop at the 14acre private lake I fish. was there yesterday and it was 100% open and today it was 95% iced up with 1/2" of ice at the shore. i have never seen this lake do this before it is usually the last one to close up being its max depth is 25ft and has a constant flow from a stream on one side and a stream, pond, lake system (Lake Hodgson) that leads to the city of Ravenna water treatment plant on on the other side. plan on making a stop to check the ice at Wingfoot tonight. i will definatly be out somewhere saturday afternoon!! Be careful!!
