Hey JayBird62,

Welcome Aboard,

Great question,

You want to place a snap swivel on your line and snap to the Vibe and not an o-ring. You can also place a swivel 12 to 24 inches above to decrease line twist. Some guys use floracarbon from the swivel to the snap swivel.

I hope we hear from others who use the bait. I always try to not let that much slack in the line as it falls and I let it pause when it is near the bottom. The lure will swim a little bit and they hit it sometimes when it is swimming. Most of the time you will feel them on on your next jerk.

i use a snap only, seems like the swivels get hung up in the hooks more often

do you tip it it with live bait?  do they like active jigging ?  i have a vex fl20 so i'll be able to watch the lure. i know with gills they sometimes like it dead still and sometimes a little  lite jigging or they hit it on the drop. is it a feel em out kind of thing?

No need to tip if you ask me, but if it makes you have more confidence in your presentation I'd say do it!
