Title: marking fish........
Post by: wapak ice dawg on February 05, 2015, 08:35:58 PM
hit Indian tonight at one of my favorite spots, I marked fish pretty steady the short time I was there this evening, now getting them to bite was the hard part. I manage to catch 4 crappies (1) keeper, 1 gill and 1 perch and never tried for the eyes. I  didn't get there until 4 pm and walked off the ice at 7pm. The thing that got me and makes you wonder is there were 7 -8 guys out there with me, I did the normal and asked if they were marking anything, everyone one of them had a fish FINDER and all replied they were not marking a thing, I guess if you sit on a bucket and don't go looking for them with the aid of your fish FINDER you kinda deserve to get zeroed out. In the short time I was there ,I punched about 15 holes at various depths to find a steady mark of fish, but I guess with about 10" of ice some just don't want to waste their energy looking , they'd rather sit and wait on the fish to find them.
