Indian Lake / Long Day
« on: January 03, 2010, 08:22:15 PM »
Well this is long but hopefully funny and useful. Get tot the lake at 530 Didnt take my morning you know what so go to the gas station and back i go to the lake I get set up and dont get bit for 2 hrs so Dave saus there over at dunns gettin some saugeye so I go there. Thats when it gets fun my auger wont cut warm butter so i borrow daves and it wasnt any better si use some other holes and after 2 hrs one stinkin perch. So I am ready to go thought lets hole hop first hole i hit one in first hole then it went dead. So back to Long Island and there the rest of the day caught ten keeper gills and went home. Oh and by the way Dave had a long day if it could go wrong it did for Dave I wont say what happened if you want to know ask him and Dave I really felt bad for you when your belt broke because that happened to me before. thanks for viewing and see ya

Went out all day on weds and did okay I was with 3 other guys and they did well I caught a fewfor the contribution. But the best thing is the bluegill John caught this has got to be the biggest gill I have ever seen I had a 8 1/2 incher in the bucket and this thing made it look real small I am guessing at least 11 inches and the back to belly was at least 7 to 8 inches I guess it would weigh a pound man what a fish I did not get a pic but will get with john and see if he did  and post it here I will be on the ice on thursday so give me a shout if your out there my name is dan and I will be hangin with dave most of the day

Indian Lake / Tuesday On Long Island
« on: December 22, 2009, 04:57:32 PM »
Well got out early and was the first one to my spot and caught 5 gills then people started showing up and the jig was up actually had one guy pace off 5 steps from me and drill holes well you guessed it my fish left and only caught 5 the rest of the day. Used chartruese most of the day with a wax worm heard a couple of guys say they were using black and purple to catch some so the color is still up in the air what they really want and how far from the bottom.

Indian Lake / Monday On Indian Long Island
« on: December 21, 2009, 07:28:35 PM »
Well started kind of slow but picked up later in the day. Fish were just nibblin and had to go to a spring bobber to get them caught 6 gills over 9 inches and had 5 perch over 10 so not a bad day but no crappie. Ice is good around long island at 3 to 3 1/2 and bot alot of snow on ice. Hey Dave I think I saw where your spud bar went through was it by the little island about half way .

General Discussion / Ice At moundwood on Indian
« on: December 13, 2009, 04:10:31 PM »
talked to some guys that said they were told that the ice at moundwood was safe. This is wrong the ice at best is only a inch thick and very unsafe. They said it was in the paper out of dayton but I looked in the paper and never saw it. Just a reminder if you post on here please be correct and specify were the ice is safe. I feel bad for these guys that drove 1 or 2 hrs only to find out there is only 1 inch of ice so I told them to go to long island it was 3 to 4 and they would be fine

Went around the lake on thursday and 2/3 of the lake has some ice on it and with the winds dying down and cold temps I think most of the lake will have ice but I think we are still looking at a few more weeks till we can get on it I will be going over on saturday to check ice and will report back
