Indian Lake / Ice on the Lake

Went around the lake today and fpund some Ice most was in the game preserve being about 1 inch thick. I am gettin the itch and with highs in the 20s on weds and thursday and lows in the teens at night I think we are going ro be fishin in a couple weeks or less

Well you can tell guys are deer hunting in Ohio hardly saw any body on Indian tuesday and I think deer hunting would be the better choice I did catch some gills and crappies but they are scattered and bite is slow for me.

The Bass Pro at Indian Lake has a bunch of Ice fishing shanty's and everything else to get started ice fishing if they don't have they can get it but you need to get there now so there will be plenty of time to get it.

Soft Water Fishing Reports / Ohio River Sauger

Went fishing sat and sun and caught 12 keeper sauger I was fishing with a friend from down around the mendahl lock and man was it crowded. Fish were biting but mostly 10 inch fish most fish we kept were 14 to 18 inches. we were using 1/4 jig heads tipped with a minnow we were fishing right next to the lock on the wall and the entrance to the lock. There is a ramp in Neville that is about 1 mile from the lock

Got out for 4 hours Thusday and got 10 gills and 5 perch over 11 inches would have stayed longer but had to go to dinner with family

Just got back from gander mountain and picked up 2 reels regular price is 200 they had them for 99 and you get 20 dollars for every 100 you spend they only had 2 left or I would have bought 5 I think every GM has these so get them fast

I chew apple skoal pouches and the can makes a great container for wax worm and spike if you need some let me know also the Ice breker candies have a cool container that has a flap on them and they are cheap

There is a bait shop in Sidney called Fishermens Delight it is on Brooklyn beteen Court and North it is run out of house just ring the door bell and someone will answer and show you the stuff
