Title: Safety Rope
Post by: Banker on December 29, 2009, 12:47:08 PM
Where do people purchase 50 yards of safety rope these days? Is there a ice fishing rope rescue package I can purchase or do I just attach something floatable to the end? What do you do?

i got a 50 ft. anchor rope at walmart. has a snap hook on the end. make a loop 4 ft. from the hook. tie a boat fender through the loop, attach the hook to the loop. if needed, throw the bumper, loop goes unde3r the arms of the swimmer. fit in a bucket, and should be the first bucket you put on the ice. if you ever use it, (hopefully you won't), it's worth the cost and if you don't it's there if you ever need it.
