Stop by the parking lot near lakeside tackle shop. 1 inch on the edge. Still looks a little scare in the middle. Should be ready to go Friday!!!!

Lee... Was there much snow on top of the ice or did the wind blow most of it off? Thanks.

Snow covered, but very windy here today.... VERY. What snow we got (3") was dry and fine. Shouldn't affect ice formation much. Most of it will have blown away by this evening. I'll check again later this afternoon... I'll probably walk out a bit.

Thanks for the info! BTW, do you guys have any suggestions where to start fishing once the ice is good? I've fished the lake a bunch from a boat but never on the ice. I always hear about the bouy line being a good starting point. Any other places you guys would suggest? Thanks for any help.

The bouy line is as good place as any to start. It is accessed from the Pike Bay parking area in the North west side of lake. Rt 305 launch and the cemetery on the south side are also good places to try.

Checked ice from parking lot off 305 near lakeside. Went 1/3 of the way out. Most was 2". Some thin spots under the snow. I'm fishing marina tomorrow and will be fishing main lake Saturday.... very carefully!!!!! Spud bars are still necessary!!!!!

Did marina today, won't be going back for a few days until the main lake is okay. 1.5-2" found a patch of 3" and fished it for 3 hours, couple dink gills and perch. Came back 10 foot off the path I went out, and spud bar went through with a light tap. Less than 1.25" 10 feet from 2-3". Water is very stained and jigs were moving to the side of the hole, think there is a lot of water running through there yet.
More snow and wind tonight and they have 2 gates wide open drawing water off, bad timing since we all want to be out fishing. Anyone got 4+" on a small farm pond for me
Spud one, spud two, if it went through, so will you!
