Black, White, Red, Joe Glow, Perch, Chartreuse and Orange, Silver, Gold and Last but not least....... Ladybug

The new Tungsten offerings from Custom Jigs and Spins and Northland Do look nice.... I like that School Bus pattern and the Black and White Striped one looks pretty nice as well.

There is better quality out there for tungsten and you don't have to pay more to get it.

I recently had an email from someone asking how to approach a new lake. I did something on this topic a while back but I went back and looked at what I wrote. I think there is some really good info in there so I thought I would share it with everyone. Also if you have some other tips or adivce on things you do I would love to hear them.

3 Steps to Ice fishing new waters

Also if anyone is going to coming up to Lake St. Clair to fish at all this winter make sure you stop by the tackle shop I was asked to manage up there. I will have more info soon on this.

General Discussion / Re: How Many ICE RODS to you have?
« on: November 16, 2011, 10:13:23 PM »
I take 6 to 20 rods with out on the ice.I match the rods to the lures and the technique I am fishing.

Now when I fished tournaments it depends on the fish and the lake I once had 24 sight rods rigged all with different color combos on them. All rigged and ready no need to retie that day, or so I thought lol

lipless cranks are nothing new through the ice.

Think of them has a body baits.Like a Chubby Dater of Lindy Darter(may fav)They just don't have that swimming action of those two.It gives you a the presentation more like a blade bait but without the quick fall rate of a blade bait.

General Discussion / 1st ice Tactics -what are yours?
« on: November 15, 2011, 07:49:07 AM »
Recently a friend and I had a chat about some of the 1st ice tactics we use. He sent me over a little article he wrote up for this winter and I thought I would share it with everyone.

First Ice Tactics that Work By Jason Mitchell

But I would also like to hear what are some of your 1st ice tactics are? Do you start scouting before the lake freeze up for fish you can hit during 1st ice?Do you have something unique you like to do that you think gets you bit more often then most?

Come tell a secret or two on the world wide web.
