One shanty on the ice today at 1:30 pm can not give ice report,only drove through lot,with projected temps should be on easily by sat.and sun.got plans for sat.maybe go sun.

So what are you going to do till the lakes transition back to ice or open water?For me I will be drilling holes in the soft ice off the end of the docks and sitting on a bucket,probably catching dinks,but hey it beats sitting home on the couch,I get cabin fever fast and have to do something,most likely will go to rocky river for a steelhead trip or two,and float some maribou jigs down stream,could work on cleaning up the garage,but most likely not.

squeezed one more day out of state park,ice and edge conditions basically the same as saturday,bite was good today,3 bass,largest a solid #3 a real tussle on my ul gill rod,several crappie,a lot of gills most of them decent size,a few perch,came off at 3;30 only saw 2 other guys there and they only stayed about 10 mins. if rain holds off I would not be afraid to try it on monday.

got on about 2;30 edges there were still good shape,ice was still 5 in. or so,fished till dark,got 2 bass 15 in.range,1 9 in. red ear,a few medium size gills,the biggest golden shiner i have ever caught,got it on plastic,craps did not turn on,my bud got 1 keeper size,all were released,might try to get on tomorrow,not sure yet,edges still ok when i came off.

was able to go today due to my wife not feeling well,we were supposed to go to a basketball game,edges were receding but got on,fished a couple of hours got a crappie and a gill,planked off the ice,edges going fast,headed for old state park,see plx for report.

thought i would get on the ice for the last hurrah before the thaw,edges still in pretty good shape,main lake due north out of parking lot a good 5 in. of ice,no water or slush present.hit up a couple of my pet spots,nobody home,dink gills and real dinky perch,moved around alot,but is was not happening today,maybe in another 2 wks. they will put the feed bag on,guessing won't be back on till then,not fishin saturday,keep a eye on the edges if you go'

shoreline was tight,ice was in good shape,no slush or water on it,clear 5in.better shape today than it was monday,fishing was slow,small gills,no crappies before or after dark,ice was actually building while i was there,wish i had a better fish report,but it is what it is.

sorry for late post,computer took a dump,had to get a new one took awhile to set up and get running,ok now to the business at hand.fished c-5 got on ice around 4 pm shoreline was receding at usual entry spot water was not that deep and stepped on log lying there to get on ice,once on and out in bay ice was a conservative 5in. fished till 7:30,ed got 17,gene and i each got about 10 each(crappies) only a few keepers out of the whole lot,usual dink gills,perch,bass,all were recycled,maggots,gulp,trigger x,all caught fish,around 9 ft deep where we were,oh well it was something to do for a few hours.

For the coming week temps are to be around 40 deg. Hope the night time lows can maintain our current ice levels,not much effect first couple of days,but after that I wonder?
