All,
Had anyone been out today? The Sassafras Point area has standing water/slush on it. I drove to Russell’s Point earlier and saw the same in the South Side of the lake. Just wondering if the ice thickness has reduced much?

Still good. The slushy looking stuff is just the snow that melted and then re froze. Next couple days will put a dent in it but it should make it through ok.

Wonder if it would be good again by Monday, might take a day off and try it if it survives

I suspect it will be fine after a warmup/moderate rain. No ice is ever safe. I can tell you a horror story on Lake St Clair with Pickup trucks parked on ice and 40 yards away four wheelers going through. Carry ice picks ( cost = $ 6.99) and watch the edges.
