I hate when you have time to go out for a day, but you don't have any safe ice. I think it has slowed down the posts on this site. What has everybody been doing to pass the time until we can fish open water again?

I agree, traffic is slow at no safe ice. I've been getting my bass boat ready, just picked it up from Vic's tonight. Got some work done and added a second power pole. ;D

I think a lot of us are doing the same. Getting ready for Spring. I haven't stopped buying ice fishing gear though. I guess I'm looking forward to a better season next year.

i drive past the lakes and see snow covered junk im afraid is bad for my health hehehehe and then onward to get more stuff to fish with :P have i lost my mind ? maybe but im having a good time doin it .... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have myself in a lack of I've coma,I have managed to keep myself busy and my mind occupied with the sale of my home and construction of my new one,hope to be settled down by spring bite! ;D ;D ;D

:D ;) ;D. I've been razzing the heck out of my fishing partner trying to keep up his spirits . Between this very unusual ice season , slow work and the selling and buying/building of another home ,he needed a distraction . ;D .

Since last year with no ice.I've been shooting more and the same this year.Now I started Reloading to pass the time.

Kids sports, house cleaning, work, bills, ice depression, and working on the Great Lakes largemouth series.

Sure seems to be a lack of reports on here? Im not sure because im new hear this season. I know people are out all over hear and there ice fishing right now. Thought i would see more action on here today. The ice is crap. The ice i have been on,...i dont want any more people on with me either. I fished Tinkers today for 2 hrs. Ice was 3" hard clear but now has 5" of snow on it. Just in time for tonight. Hope it firms up. Fishing sucked for us. 3 bites. checked another lake near and could not get on. Edge was way to soft. Im off tomorrow and want to fish. If anyone wants to car pool n fish, Live in parma hts area. Not sure where? Goof luck. Be safe

There are places with safe ice you just have to head to northeast ohio.

between buyn new gear getn two boats ready, and waitn 4 this transition time 2 pass . just when the temps r warm enough to slip bobber some panfish it gets cold again. What a year. great thoughts r in my mind to get uot tonite and ckuck some holes for gills. Stay safe everyone

been fishing county waters for trout near an areator . :-[ even there fishing gets tough. bought Ice Shanty two years ago Vexlar last year and still not enough safe ice for this big boy to go ice fishing boo ho hoo! >:(

yeah we live in a wishy washy part of the country... 8) when its good its good but when its slushy it stinks... :P i believe our weather is alot different from when i was a kid..it used to freeze until april , now up down is the new normal...along with more severe storms :o ...

For the first time in a while my hardwater tank is still full. I am going to fish docks with new gear till my tank is empty- going out on Friday morning. Heck with these low temps might even be on ice..crazy huh :)

Despite popular opinion, we have seen more reports on IceFishOhio.com this year than any year prior. We are growing leaps and bounds thanks to fisherman like you. Two years ago this site would be a ghost town come last ice ..great to see the momentum continue into the softwater season...keep it up!

Im so ready to just fish,i have been so consumed with my selling and building of a house that the season has passed me by,luckily i did hit the dock tournaments,now its time to just sit back and count the walleye.
