My bro- kpi was kind enough to post this pic of guys on the ice at Wellington. This was from around noon. No word on a bite. Looks like we maybe out soon. Notice 4 guys on ice.
CORRECTION THIS IS A LOCAL POND IN WELLINGTON NOT THE UPGROUND. I MISUNDERSTOOD. WHEN HE SAID WELLINGTON I TOOK IT AS THE UPGROUND. None the less. We are close!!!!!

Pond or not, doesn't matter! Its ice and fish can be pulled thru a hole in it!!

Has anyone drove by the upground yet this year?
Or Spencer Lake?
Hoping the ice is fishable this weekend.
Let us know if anyone has any reports, either visual or spud checked.
I will head out to the upground this evening after work to see what it looks like.

Spencer has 2" tight white on top 2" - 3" crystal clear on the bottom at 100' from the bank On the north lake. I will be there sat morning. Let's hope the weather holds next week.

Spencer has 3.5-4.5 inches of ice.Guys were fishing this morning but i would stay off the areas that have snow crust as it is probably thinner here.

Checked this morning very early. Still a large open area and ice not locked in. Could shift as there was a pressure crack. Can't see it setting up any time soon w/ warm spell coming. Did not spud or drill. Was on my way to meet a buddy to fish pond out west. Hope for some brutal cold!
