Well we can hope. They keep going back and forth on the rain forecast for monday down here but looks like it may hold off until later in the day. I'll be out either way. Ive killed a doe this year but still got a buck tag that needs filled. Good luck and be safe out there.

Can't win! When I'm in the stand and nothing's walking past, I'm thinking about all the fish I could be catching. When I'm on the water and nothing's biting, I'm thinking about that massive nontypical I could be tagging.

Hell the worst is being at work all week daydreaming about hunting and ice fishing. One more day then I have 3 days off to hunt. And by the time I'm done deer hunting for the year hopefully I'll have about 2 weeks to get some sleep and let my sore tree stand ass heal and then ice will be here, so I can get sore 5 gallon bucket ass .lol

Yea,heard that! And each time I hear it I get a sick feeling in my stomach. This ice season is gonna be a slim one if the weather pattern doesn't change soon.

I really think we'll get 6-8 weeks. At least inland. The long term forecast changes drastically after new years. We just got spoiled the last 2 years. I was on ice for parts of 5 months last season.

2X Slabslayer... I was on the ice for those same 5 months... never thought of it like that until your post.

Lucky you snowcone. I guess I need to buy another boat that has an outboard. I know several years ago I had to winterize my boat 3 times. It would warm up and I'd hit Erie for a couple times, get cold and have to winterize it again. Oh what fun.

Snow in Nw Ohio for my blood pumping for ice fishing today.  My shanty is still in attic until after Christmas.  We can all hope for cold weather from the north to bring us hard water soon!
