I'm gonna be hitting alum a lot more than I did last season, are there any tips, tricks or info of any kind that anyone is willing to share??? If you dont want to share publicly you can pm me. I've been targeting crappie a lot through the ice but now I'm ready for a challenge, I figure saugeye would be a good start and maybe muskie through the ice would be great but I'll stick to saugeye for a bit so any tips to get them eyes up would be much appreciated!

Move around a lot! If you fish with tip ups try different depths, 45 to 6 ft depending on time of day. try to find a spot with rocky humps or points, they will move shallow in the evening. My go to colors on Alum are gold or blue/silver. Jig one rod have live bait on the next rod. There have been years on Alum you would have thought all the eyes were dead and years you almost always got a limit, good luck Alum is a hard lake to figure out when it comes to eyes threw the ice, there's a lot of places for them to hide.

Thanks a ton! I'll keep all that in mind when I'm out there!
