Went out to Walborn Thursday night. Bass were on fire, got 4 in 2 hours. All came on an Ima Roumba wakebait. It was bluegill color. They ranged from a pound and a half to 4 1/2 pounds. Water was 70.9-72.4 degrees.

glad you did well, I have caught some nice bass myself on crankbaits out there. I usually don't hit that lake up much but now and again I get bored .. keep up the good fishin buddy.

Nice info,thanks slab!

I chose that bait because the bluegill were spawning. That bait moves like a fleeing bluegill. All the bass were in 3 feet of water or less. Here's a 3 pounder, I didn't get a pic of the big one. He bounced off my boat and back in the water before I could get a pic. But at least my wife was there as a witness! :P

that's a pretty bass , has nice color :D I found that leave the launch and go west over the bump where the bouys mark the shallow and past the island and between the island and next point is a bunch of structure, and down that shore line farther down is a tree and a deep hole under that tree ...hint hint ;D
