Hi Guys,
I wanted to throw out an idea about having a Mod your Shanty contest at the Columbus Fishing Expo.
The contest would be for you to bring your tricked out Shanty that has been modified and place it in the IFO booth for anglers to check. We would come up with a rating system and the top three finishers would win a prize from Clam.
You can bring any brand of tricked out shanty and will receive free admission to the expo for all three days. You do not have to be at your shanty for the whole expo as we will have pro staffers manning the booth. However we could not be responsible for any damage done to the shanty. We would not allow the general public into them unless you are there and approve.
Let me know who would be interested in the contest.

Sounds like a total blast! So wish I could come. But think it's a great idea, would love to see some pictures.

Ok We will have a shanty mod area of the show. Just let me know who is in so I can get you a free weekend pass. Also, you will receive some product from our sponsors.

I may bring a shanty but I do not have many mods just the stench of dead walleye LOL

I have an old reliable sled that I tricked out, I used it back in the early 90's to the mid 2000's I could send in. I have to warn you though , I have a big O painted on the side for the Buckeyes. I'll post a picture later today when I get off of work.

I'm taking Thursday and Friday off for the expo anyway so i'm in. Installing my lights later today so it should be a lot brighter than me.

Bring all your neat things to make the booth great. We will also have tables with Vexilars, Korkers Boots, Dynamic Lures, and much more to check out.

Dave if you need anything else to set up I can unload the truck. I have 4 different brands of hand augers, jaw jackers, and many other things. I believe you still have my number.

wish I could make it but that's a bit of travel for me right now. my sled is ugly enough to make everyone elses look great hahahaha

I can bring a few different items with me, my pack shack and miscellaneous gear but I need to know the dates so I can get the days off work

The expiration is February 10, 11, 12 . Just a heads up we are in a different building this year I think it's the Bricker building but not sure. Maybe Dave will post on the site for sure

Hey guys, sorry I didn't make it back today, had some sort of bug come on over night and I'm sick as hell. Had an awesome time with everyone yesterday though! Keep in touch guys!
