Title: open ice attraction
Post by: fool4fish on February 05, 2014, 05:17:58 PM
Hey guys here one I'm dying to ask senior members as I said in my intro I only get weekends to fish well I posted my info on spencer lake last weekend but weekend before 2 ago I went to private honey hole for gills best I ever seen thought I'd kill em well quite the opposite not even a bite this place is unpressured. It has a fountain with about 50 ft circumference it was open did I get a good old case of Lock jaw or could the open area played a big factor was some water turkeys and ducks active in the area if that helps

Open water is playing a large factor; sunlight is getting to the weeds keeping them alive and attracting fish, circulating water is warmer and has higher oxygen content. Fish will congregate around this area.

Thanks for the confirmation handyman we tried within 40 ft. Of the open water trying to get a bite but no takers makes me wanna try harder yet don't want miss better chances at active fish other places
