Was wondering if anyone would actually care to reply to newbie any advice on parking out near cranberry for the shortest walk out I understand it may be pretty packed considering im going sat.

Sorry for the late response.

I would park at Fairfield Beach on the south shore. It is a little longer walk but safer ice. The 79 ramp is closer but they run aerators down from the ramp and not sure how safe the ice ice is from 79.

Hope this helps.

Anyone use the 79 ramp?

Thanx Dave that's what I did nice catch man i only got one keeper minnow on tip up took a s oftwater angler for his first outing he lost one at the hole glo.jig tipped with a minnow head I also lost a decent one at the hole on a northland buckshot rattle flyer spoon gold n orange didn't get there till nearly four granny 75th bday  my fish all came in 9-11 ft range hugging the bottom near 11 ft.
