Title: Sun Night/Mon Morn Jan 4-5 Observations
Post by: icebucketjohn on January 05, 2015, 09:42:38 AM
Field Observations: Ladue was wide open Sunday night, 1/4 & Monday morning, 1/5 including West of the State Rt 44 Boatlaunch & Parking Lot.
Nesmeth was wide open Springfield was wide open
Temps dropped last night from 32 to 16., excluding the Wind Chill Factor.
Steady winds kept the ice from forming, but it wont be long. I'll be checking Nimmy this Weds morning, Jan 7. I'll bring all my gear in anticipation of trekking on the ice & drilling holes if it's safe.
Most likely test the ice at C-1 and C-5 (Campground Bay). I wont go out alone during first ice, so if anyone wants to join me., send me a PM[/color]
