Anyone ever evening fish or night fish lake erie for walleye. Always wanted to try it but wasn't sure how it is. Any tips I would appreciate.  Thank you

I have done it before and caught fish. If you do, I recommend you use a gps to retrace your route back and carry extra batteries. Go slow on the way back since cracks could open up while you were fishing and try and fish with other people. I love fishing Erie after dark in the soft water season but I usually come in before dark during ice season for safety. If you do it, good luck and be safe.

Is there safe ice up there? It is getting kind of iffy down here in SW Ohio.

on erie ya know the best times are 1 hr after sunrise  and 1 -2 hrs around sunset. fish should be turning on anytime now !!
