Title: 2/28/15

Went to n end off beach (private property) wed night around 8 and stayed till 12am. Ice was good except had that creepy soft layer on top where your boot sinks thur 2 or 3 inches. It got better near center. Quite a few sniffers but only 4 medium crappie biters. Tough day at work the next day. 5 am comes early. Tight lines.

Thanks for the report. I was wondering about the chip. And as for that creepy ice, I was on some tonight as well. It was so cold tonight that I was shattering huge areas of ice pockets with the spud. It would of made a newbie soil his shorts. It was cool being the only soul on the ice hearing it sing. The baro pressure has been high, I expect the crappie to bite tmw evening.

No prob. I think today would have been a great day but took the kids sled riding instead. Weather was perfect. I am hoping to get out in the morn, tho not sure where. Probably the only one on an idiot mission thru the snow storm. Tight lines.
