You're not alone. I fired up the auger Saturday and was ice fishing in my basement last week. My shanty stays set up down there all year so I can ice fish whenever I need to.  :o ;D  All camera and Vex batteries ready to go and money set aside soon as new ice great hits the shelves!   We have the same disease!

I think I'm on the way to recovery. I sold one of the power augers and one of the Nils last night. Now I only have seven. I keep this up I will be shopping for a snowmobile.

Boy you guys are making me jealous I've been trying not to think to much about the upcoming season but your not helping the matter! Maybe it's not to early to get out the gear and go through it.

I never put mine away. It stays set up in the unfinished part of my basement. That way I can sit in it whenever I need an ice fishing fix.  ;D

I only put my augers and shanties away each year. I use my Vex and ice rods all year crappie and saugeye fishing. Come on ice. Sell enough so you can get a snowmobile Bobby so you can got to Erie with Nate and me. Good times!!!

I picked up the sled Saturday. Ended up paying $425, now bring on the ice. I need to repair the wire for the hand warmer.

So much for getting better I found a deal on another gas auger. It was a deal that I couldn't refuse and it has a 10" bit, I didn't have that size. A little older but so am I,it was $100

Glad you found a sled and got a good deal on it. I am definitely ready for ice. Can't wait. Good deal on the auger, will have to use it on Erie. Hopefully Dave will do the dock tourneys again this year and I will see you there.

So much for getting better. I bought my third gas auger and the deal on the hand auger fell through. I picked up the first snowmobile a couple of weeks ago now I'm looking for another one.

I like your attitude. Wish I could afford to do it too. I am going to upgrade my depth finder this year. Just need to figure out if I want a Vex or a Marcum. Decisions decisions.

Never used a Marcum, but I got a new Vex FLX-28 last year and absolutely love it!  Amazing machine!   Would recommend it to anyone.

Thanks Bobby. I have it narrowed down to the Vex FLX-28 or the Marcum LX6 or LX7.  Either one of them would be more than adequate. I have the Vex FL-18 now and love it. The only advantage with the Marcum is being able to move the zoom throughout the water column. Have to compare prices and go from there.

Is there such a thing as to much stuff? I just made a deal on another shanty. It's a two man flip that seemed cheap. It's a HT and it was $175.

I used to think you couldn't have too much stuff. Now it depends. If I don't use it, I think I have too much stuff. You can never have too many lures, need to cover sizes and colors, and always need a good selection of rods. Wouldn't mind a spare snowmobile again. All in due time.

That is the one drawback with the Marcum LX 7, it doesn't fit in a 5 gal. bucket. Won't be a problem on the ice, will be in my sled. Will be awkward to carry at the dock tourneys but I can always use my Vex at the dock tourneys.
