Title: feeling more like ice fishing!
Post by: slabslayer on November 12, 2015, 03:43:49 PM
Working outside this afternoon, it's starting to feel more like ice fishing. A cold wind out of the north, even felt a tiny bit of sleet in Kent this afternoon. Can't wait for my first steps out on a frozen lake this winter!  So ready for the ice season to start!  :o  ;D

I agree and it's going to be worse after I get this next shanty. I may have to set it up in front of the tv for games this weekend.

Love it that the temps are dropping. Can't wait until the highs are below freezing instead of the lows being that cold. Come on ice.

If you plan on going out soon, I'd bet on the boat. Hopefully we will be on the ice on Christmas.

I just got reminded by Facebook that there was snow on the ground this time last year. Weather looks to be changing next week....

If you guys are in the mood for ice now, just wait until this weekend when the daytime high temps are in the high 30s/low 40s.

On 11-19-2014 the low temp was 13f.  53f one year later.

I was on ice late November in 2014.

Bring on the Alberta clippers so the temps plummet and ice starts forming soon!

Ice can't get here quick enough for me. These colder temps are giving me withdraws with no ice.

First time in my life I fished on ice in November. Last season was November-March. I ice fished in parts of 5 months in Ohio. It was awesome! !  We won't get November this year, but I'm going for 4 months anyway!  ;D

Yeah, the last 2 winters have been crazy.  I moved to Ohio 3 years ago thinking it would be milder winters than what Im used to and the last 2 winters have been almost like a normal winter in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
It was always kind of funny though when my coworkers would be like, "its sooooo cold!" and Id shrug my shoulders and be like, "I dunno...this is like, normal for me."  :D
