Hit up Nesmith this morning and found a good 4”of clear ice over the entire western end of the lake. Didn’t try over near Manchester Road. Bite was good on slow fall ice jigs and some eurotackle tungsten jigs. Got some crappie on a Clam panfish flutter spoon. Was fishing 8-10 feet of water and fish came in bottom half of the water column. Felt good to have my shanty out for the first time in 3 years! Last 2 years it was too warm and ice too thin so I just used a gear sled.
