Title: saugeye today
Post by: Doug Stewart on February 15, 2010, 09:49:13 PM
We caught some small ones and one perch in 9ft about the middle of the marsh no wake zone. I tried real hard to make a wake with the gas powered ice sled but the snow was just to deep lol. The ice still looks good and should be almost good enough for the 4 wheeler. I hope to plow another road out to my favorite spots.

Most people park at Fairfield beach access. You then walk around 400 to 600 yards to the Marsh. They fish tip to tip in water around 8 to 12 feet. Some people fish Harbor Hills which is across from  the Marsh. I believe there is a spring that you have to watch out for. I would only go there with someone like Doug.
