Title: Christmas day 2020
Post by: toadfish on December 25, 2020, 04:52:00 AM
17 degrees on Christmas day and still no ice on the open part of grand lake . >:(. Hopefully soon! I am not liking the high 40's and lows still above freezing in the forecast the next few days.

The big muddy made me a liar, she is skimming over now. It is amazing what a couple of hours will do.

That’s good news! We can get a good base in the next 36 hours.

Highs in the mid 40's and lows at or above freezing for the grand lake area does not make much ice! >:( I may have jinxed us by getting she shanty out and insulation water lines under the house. This icefishing season is not looking good.

The day after Christmas crappie were either somewhere else or just not as cooperative. Fished two hours and only caught five unders and five decent keepers.
