Title: 2/22
Post by: wapak ice dawg on February 22, 2010, 08:56:47 PM
I wish I had a better report to give today, went to Black Hawk around 2pm, fished out front for pan fish , caught a couple nice blue gill , had a steady bite most of the day but just dinked it most of the time. Move way out front almost to the main lake for the saugeye bite. I kept seeing guys yank but blanked, then around 6:30 I got my first hit and the worst sound a fisherman can hear plink broke my line I'll call it a 7lber just because I lost it and nobody can tell me different. After retying my line I finally landed 2 nice eyes in the 1-2 lb range. The guys I went out with(5 in all) had 4 fish between them and I think the said they had 3 bass. But the story of the day was the BIG one that flew the coup on me(I know it was a 10lber) or maybe it was my line that I haven't retied in over 3 weeks.

I would say it was a state record not the old line. ;D
