Title: Open Water Saugeye at Blackhawk
Post by: ratherbefishing on February 27, 2010, 09:28:11 PM
Got out for the evening bite today, and only managed 1 fish. Team Mac (Scott) had better luck than anybody. He iced 4 Saugeye, the last one was pretty nice. Lots of bites on the Swedish Pimple and on small tungsten jigs tipped with mousies (deadsticked.) We lost half a dozen in our shanty, most I talked to had 4 or 5 so no limits reported to me tonight. If you go out, the bite seems to be best out on the open water just a few minutes before and after sundown.
I hope this helps you.
Glad we had such a good turn out at Mosquito! I'm hearing that Blue and silver is not the patter to fish there!
