It was still pretty good at moundwood and dunns...Still had 8 inches of black ice at moundwood... Still need to keep an eye on it

I ended my 3 outing streak of skunks. Helped that I was targeting panfish this time- 6 total gills- 2 keepers. Slow but not as stinky- good by skunks.

no tourny sunday so my partner and i fished dunns anyway. had about 4.5 to 5 inches of ice slushy on top but solid. we caught around 35 eyes jigging vibes and jigging rappalas. we also caught some 14 to 15 inch pearch jigging. will be out there thurs. morning w/ a buddy. will be in dave genz flip over or just trolling around.

Fished long island with no success today. Little dink perch and blue gill seen alot on the camera but they just wouldnt bite. Went to dunns around 400 caught one 3lb saugeye seen alot on camera before battery died. Everybody there was catching them. I only caught one. First time I have fished for them through the ice. Ice was 7 inches at long Island and 6 in dunns pond.

i will be out there tomorrow so i will post reports on fri. morning i found a nice 8ft. hole back in dunns. my shanty will be parked on it and i probably will be trolling around w/ my buddy

had 3'' 0f clear ice topped by 2'' of cloudy ice on dunns where i was poured rain last 2hrs i was there, i'm not taking a chance i'm staying away till the next cold snap.

fished dunns yesterday w/ buddy we ended up w/ 11 good keepers, threw back 4 smaller ones, also lost 3 or 4 at the hole. hey firefish that pellican called me and said he still has your perch. that was funny watching a pellican steal somebodies fish and watching you chase him. nice meeting you guys

I fished IL this morning it still has a good 6in.Caught 4 dinks marked alot of fish they didn't want to hit on anything.

Was out today on dunns and the ice is going fast maybe 4 inches left then went to long island and had 6 inches so when you go out take a spud bar and drill if you think it is safe but remember no ice is safe the only ice that is safe is the stuff you put in a glass

Thanks for the report rhinoh... sounds like some of this ice might survive if the wind stays in check... probably be out next weekend if it's good.
