Title: Keeping the Faith
Post by: HardWater Junkie on February 17, 2011, 08:49:20 AM
Ive seen several topics on here lately about last fishing trips and how people think the season is over. I dont know how the rest of the state is but in my area the ice is is still good. Wingfoot still has 11 inchs of ice and is holding strong. The edges may thaw a little but I think it will make it. The 10 day looks like the cold weather WILL come back and we will be fishing into March. I am not saying that the ice is 100 % good and this time of year you always have to spud your way around the lakes to be carefully. With a little knowledge of how the ice works and a great deal of respect for the ice we will fish for weeks to come. All I ask is that you all keep the faith and pray to the ice gods that we have a few more weeks of ice.

Good Point. The ice will be different around the state and should be check each and everytime you go out. Keep us posted on how the ice is up there.
