Title: off season storage question
Post by: pig puncher on March 01, 2011, 06:42:30 PM
i've been hauling my buddy heater around in my truck since my last trip. gonna put it up for the year. there's about 1/2 a tank of gas left. should i leave it on, or take it off and put it on my lantern? maybe it makes no difference. i figure with it on, it'll keep any dirt out of the plumbing. thanks, logan

heater storage ? usually i put an empty tank on to keep dirt out but dont screw it on real tight, then dust it out with compressed air to clean the grill, wipe it down like a gun , and cover it with a small persons sweat shirt and shazam ready for next time... ;D

I would do like Snowcone said. If you have a reason to run out the propane out in your lantern then do so. If not just save it until you need it again.

i usually cover mine with a trash bag & tape it shut. keeps the spiders from building nests in the plumbing.

I wouldn't put a full can on as buddy heaters seem to leak.
