Title: Crappie/Saugeye
Post by: JustNutts on October 09, 2011, 07:48:19 PM
Spent last night at Indian and would like to report my take home of several nice eyes and a nice mess of slabs. The crappies have schooled up by the hundreds and I found them all over the lake. Eyes were hitting until 3am then they shut off until about 9am. Talk around the lake was that the eyes have been non existant. Had to really work hard for them. Couldnt get them to take live bait, nothing on jerk baits. All on the trusty vibe. Crappies didnt hit until daylight, but was all live bait under a slip bobber and small jig.
Looks like a couple more weeks before the channels are the place to be. Need that temp down in the 40s to really turn them on.
