Title: rocky river steelhead
Post by: snowcone on November 26, 2011, 10:13:33 PM
hit up the rocky river today, was a nice day on the river .plenty of people fishing all over . water was stained slightly, flow was average, and the bite wasnt so bad as i watched many pulling in nice steelies, some 28 inches , some smaller. most of the fish caught were on smaller baits, like eggs, flys, ect. seemed like fish were caught in the fast moving currents as well as the lazy pools. but today was equall catches for the fly guys and the spinner guys, but yours truly had no luck today well except for slipping and falling in it was a good day.....pretty soon it will get hard to wade when the ice starts forming but on the good days i will keep hitting up the rivers for the majestic steelies that i love ,, and when we get good ice you know what happens then ...hehe....good luck everyone know matter what your after.....quote....the time you spend fishing cant be deducted from your life....... see ya out there

Sounds like it was a good day! I never hooked up to a Silver Bullet. Seems whom ever I am with gets all the action. I've heard of guys getting them through the ice. I could only imagine how that would play out.
