My dad started my young too.  I'm 32 and have been ice fishing for 27 years.  My wife thinks I'm nuts too, but 3 years ago she got me a power auger!!

I went to Mosquito and Pymatuning when I was a wee lad with my grandpa.  So, I've been ice fishing 30+ yrs with lots of time between my younger years to the last year or so not ice fishing much because of living in warmer climates.

I love it though!

Started as a young man in Minnesota. I'm 67 now. Had a break thanks to the Navy and gettin' back into it here in OH. But if I hit the lottery, you can come up to Minnesota and go fishing with me. I've been lucky enough to have gone fishing with the Lindners. (Lindy Rigs) Mn already has 6"-7" of good ice and are hammewring them. The only ice around here is in my ice cube tray! Anyone got safe fishable ice in OH?? Raise your hand!! Anyone? ;D

I was probably 10 yrs old the first time my dad and grandfather took me and my brothers out ice fishing. We had a bunch of fun pounding perch in the Irish hills area. But I'm just getting back into it after a long hiatus. I was only able to get out once last year, and am chomping at the bit to get out this year. I think I'm pretty much geared up and ready to go. I just need to find a few good spots in the Toledo area.

I am 50 years old and have been fishing as long as I can remember. However I didnt start Ice Fishing until after I moved up here to Wisconsin. The boys and I took it up together in 2007 and it is our favorite pastime.

I have been ice fishing for 52 years. As I was growing up dad would tell the story about mom giving him heck since he kept me out on the ice too long, and him telling her that he wanted to come home sooner but I didn't want to leave.

As I'm told I was four years old the first time I was out. That either makes it 25 years right now and 26 years by January. I didn't fish much in high school, btu I'm making up for it now.

I did it when I was a kid through highschool, then got away from it for 25 years. With all the cold temps of the past few years I thought I'd give it another try, been having a ball with it ever since.

My dad had me out since I was 5 or 6 I think. Iced fished all the way thru high school. Once out of high school I only fished 2 or 3 times a year then for the last 6 years its been pretty hardcore fishing 5-7 days a week once the ice is safe.
