The batteries are charged ,new line on the reels and tip ups , a new Ice Armor extreme suit ,Toe warmers and some new tackle to get wet. The bug is bitting and theres no ice to scatch the itch.We have reservations for a long weekend at Mille Lacs but the weather there has been the same as here, warm and windy. Not good for making ice, SAFE ICE.I was hopeing Santa would bring all of us some colder weather ,but I guess I was bad last year. Who would ever guess of fishing EARLY ICE in late January. I have to buck up like everyone else , so heres wishing everyone happy holidays , God Bless .

I have a feeling that when it does come it will be a great season.
It feels like the calm before the storm.
I spoke with Matt Johnson in MN and they have 20 inches in the Northern part of the state.

My buddy in N. Dakota said 50 degrees and sunny. :-\ (North Dakota has 3 cities in the Top Ten Coldest Cities in the U.S.) The inlaws said it was high 40's in Germany this week! Looks like our ice friends in Europe are in the same slump.

Welcome to IFO. The ice will come at some point. I know all of us here are ready to get out also. May have to head to the north pole to find some ice

Welcome to IFO .....Where we are all tensed up like a thoroughbred before a big race.....When the ice gets here it will be like black Friday shopping before Christmas.....LOL

Welcome. The ice is coming, just a little later than we all like!! But weather like we're having today is more ice-fishing-like! Hope it hangs around and we can get a freeze on our lakes. ;D
