Post by: Luvztaphish on January 02, 2012, 02:38:54 PM
1/2/2012 winter has arrived and I'm glad. We'll have SAFE ice soon. All of you are as anxious as I am but please be SAFE. This is an unussual winter so don't make it a sad one . I'd like to meet everyone on the ice at some point and not read about you. So heres to tight lines and warm feet.

Good point. I'm planing on hitting a pond Wednesday. Maybe pushing it a little bit, but it's only 6 feet at the deepest and very small. I can easily get out if I go in. Been there, done that at that pond before. But please everyone be careful, a fish isn't worth your life. Even if you go thru in shallow water, hypothermia can cause a very dangerous situation within seconds, especially if you have to walk any distance to your vehicle. It's not worth it to push on large bodies of water yet!!
