Title: Thawed out
Post by: Minnowhead on January 06, 2012, 12:04:25 PM
Since the skim ice is all but gone on one of our pit ponds.  I decided to take advantage of the neighborhoods scrapped Christmas trees.  Tied cement blocks to a couple and sank them for fish structure.  I'm hoping some of the fish hang on it when the ice does cover it.  Mostly it's just a straight drop all around.  Going to have to wait now!

This works really well, an easy fish crib.
Did it on our ponds in Wi.

I know where some guys did that last year on Dale Walborn in Hartville.  They made a huge ring-shaped fish attractor bigger than a 20 foot bass boat.  Man does that hold the panfish and crappies!!  It'll work like a charm for you!

I'm sure Lowell could share some valuable information with you. Look him up on the CJ Brown Reservoir Board. He'll be on here quite a bit the next month or so.
