we may still get a chance to hit the ice this year. if the weathermen are right, indian may be fishable next week. hope no rain is in the near future. can always hope.

Saw that too.  Thinking the same about Mogadore up here.  Too late for the tournaments, but still wouldn't mind a couple weeks of ice.  That would be very nice!  8)

If we can get safe ice around us I will put on another get together like we had at wingfoot last year. Instead of having a tourney we will just do a get together with a optional 5$ big fish pot. The wingfoot event last year I thought was a big success. I think it would be more fun that way as its more laid back and having fun and enjoying the day with all of our friends and meeting new friends. If we can do it, I will do like I did last year and bring the grill and cook up burgers and dogs. If we dont get ice Im working on another idea for a get together for us northeast guys so we can still all get together and have some fun.

Sounds good Tim.  Count me in as long as it's a Sunday.  Also sorry this week didn't work out for softwater.  Dave has me involved in the Great Lakes Largemouth Series and it's more legwork and phone calls than I thought.  But it's awsome, I think things for the new Cleveland Division are going to really take off for the 4 tournaments this year.  Going to be getting skim ice now so boat launching won't be possible, but as soon as we get fishable ice, the 2 of us will get together and fish!!

I'm sure it will happen when I'm out of town... like the brief two days some folks already had on Indian when I had to be in Maryland.  Maybe I will get lucky though.  If we get ice during the week I will take a day or two off work!

I will too, but looks like any chance of fishing will be on ponds either Sunday or Monday and that's it.  If we have safe ice I'll be out both days.  Problem is water is so warm, takes a night or 2 to cool the surface temps down to even make skim ice.  Next week from Tuesday on is 40's, and rain again by weeks end.  This forecast and the whole winter for that matter sucks!!

Yep it does suck.  I have been looking and planning more and more of my soft water season already... sad really.  :(

Agreed, this afternoon I took my lipless crankbaits out of my ice fishing box and put them back in my bass box to get ready for tournament season starting April 15.  This afternoon I've been organizing the mountain of soft plastic bass bait I have in my tackle room, normally a task dreaded and relagated to the middle-end of March.
