Title: Buckeye Lake Saugeye on 3 16
Post by: davidhoheisel on March 18, 2012, 01:52:08 PM
I went out Friday Night to Buckeye Lake with Doug Stewart and the Saugeye were on fire.
We started on a main lake dock and caught some nice keeper crappie. While swimming my Pink twister i hit a nice 3 to 4 pound Saugeye.
We moved across the lake to 79 ramp and the Dam. The shore fisherman could not cast out because of all the grass that had piled up from the flood.
We were able punch through the grass with a orange vibe and killed them.
We caught 8 keepers, 4 shorts and mised 4 more.
I would like to thank Doug for taking me out. If you would like to schedule a trip to Buckeye with Doug, He charges $75 per person. He can take 2 guys easily. His number is 614-327-3439,
Here is a photo of the fish.

Thanks Dave. How early did you go out. My dad and I was just talking about trying new lakes this year. Sounds like a awesome time. Going to give him a call.

Thanks Dave. I'm going to give Doug a call. I was going to try and hook up with him over ice season but with the lack of ice that was kind of tough.
