Title: BERLIN WALLEYE TOURNAMENT??
Post by: slabslayer on November 08, 2012, 06:44:07 AM
Since the panfish series is cancelled this year, anyone interested in a Berlin Lake get together and walleye tournament?  If we have enough interest, I can maybe put something together for a Sunday in late Jan/early Feb.  Sometimes it takes Berlin a little longer to get the safe ice.

I would swing up north for a walleye tourney.  Does it have to be on a Sunday though?

I know a few others who would probably be interested as well down here in central Ohio.

Great Idea Joel.

You and Chuck can put together a great event, We will help promote it.

Lets make sure it doesn't conflict with Mosquito lake tournament.

Hope the water will allow for an event on Berlin.  Unfortunately I do need to do it on a Sunday, sorry MD.  It's the only day my schedule can work that far in advance.

If you'd be willing to help, Chuck, I'll get in touch here in the next week or so and we can coordinate a good day and other stuff.  Sounds like fun! ;D

Berlin Walleye Tournament

Dates are established: January 13, with a safe ice alternate of February 10.

I was thinking for the event we can have an entry of $20.00/person for a total of $40.00 for a 2-man team.  If you want to fish alone, that's fine, it'll be $20.00.

Big fish is an optional $5/person.

Since Berlin has some other nice fish in there, I was wondering what you all would think of another optional $5 pot for largest non walleye?

I'll get an entry form with the date and time posted soon.  I'm getting with Chuck from A&C to see if we can have registration and weigh-in at his place and he said that'd be great.

We'll have coffee and hot dogs as well.  Chuck and I will take care of that.  hope to see as many there as possible.

P.S.--any suggestions, let me know.
