I always like to stop at the DD plaza on rt.43 & 224 in suffield before I go to Moggy or The Foot. They have really good premade coldcut subs. I also like to get the cheese and meat chunks in the small bags. They are great snacks and a must to keep fueled up for a long day on the ice. I also keep a can of clam chowder and some sausages in my random box in the sled and heat them up on the grill I made for my buddy heater. Good goto food when your in a bind.

My favorite thing to do is order pizza the night before. Then wrapping single slices and heating them up on buddy heater. Smells like a pizze kitchen in my shanty. Mmm cant wait.....

What do you wrap them in...foil? Just wondering how to pull that off without causing a fire as I would like to try it myself.

Yes Banker, I wrap em in foil and set it on top of heater, flipping them as needed. David I will make sure to bring you a slice, trade ya for some jerky and 1 of your hot spots, lol

Banker, Go get one of the old style metal paint grates from sherwin williams. Bend the two arms down and in til they match the spacing on the metal guard on your buddy heater. drill a hole on each side of your bent arms, remove the BH grate and put on the paint rack grate and replace, like this pic attached. You then have a cooking rack for the BH. Toasted cheese/sandwiches, warm pizza or anything else you can think of. Think at times I enjoy the cooking on the heater than the fish....well only when it's slow. I will be out this weekend but fishing a private area with one of the guys from my summer place. It's gonna be fun to be back on. You all be safe out there!!

Every time I went ice fishing with erierider he never offered me a hot dog. Mr. Glutten. How about coming over to my shanty for once with a treat? Claims he is fishing and is in there putting on an iron chef show.
