Title: Saturday's Alum Dock Tournament Results
Post by: davidhoheisel on January 20, 2013, 10:15:32 PM
The fish-in was very tough on Saturday. The fish were suspended and finicky. I was lucky to land five and that was enough to win.
I caught mine on the smallest jigging rapala with a minnow head.
Nwohioiceman took home second with four fish. He has his 4 early and was very unlucky not to get another bite. If he had one more he would have one.
If there is not safe ice we will have one more dock tournament.
I will wait till later in the week to post if we will be having another tournament.

That fifth fish is always the hardest to get.

I always have found that it's the 1st one that's difficult .After that you replicate what fooled it to catch more ,pattern.

Every time I get a pattern, it seems to work for 4 bass. ;D. Then it dies. But if I'm not in a tournament, I can get them all day long.

when the 1st fish is hard to get & takes too long sometimes it's hard to remember what jigging motion i used so thr process starts all over again. congrats to both winners.

What i like to do when the bite is slow is set my rods down and pull out my phone to look up that picture of the swedish bikini team and think of what pattern works for them! ;D

i stopped by and seen a ton of people out of the docks at alum, wondered why there were all there. guess i know why now lol. i was in a silver ford FX4 crew cab. kinda just stood around by the vehicles for a bit before i finally decided to go out and fish....with my bass rod ;D lol. had 1 or 2 bites and gave up after a while.
