That pic is long island! some guy told me @ the parking lot that its 5-7" I checked 10 spots and the most I got was 3" I didn't see anyone checking the ice as they were walking out. I really cant stress it enough, but check your ice even if you see people.

Ice is as strong as you can get it is clear and is building more I had 4 inches at Blackhawk and the ice was popping all night so I am guessing 5 inches by Saturday or more but as always check before you go and go with a buddy

I've watched fellow icefisherman year after year just walk out on the ice and assume all is good if they see anybody on the ice and they assume since Long Island has 4" so does the rest of the lake. The responsibility lies on you to check for yourself and never believe what is posted, things can change overnight, pressure cracks, streams or rivers can change levels and push water around, current . Other than going through the 1 time my ass puckered the hardest was when I walked out on northfork at 4 am, pitch black I drilled my 1st hole of the day and boom, the ice cracked from there to green bridge and it felt like the ice dropped 2 feet. That year we had a solid 10" but I swore I was going in.
