Title: Buckeye lake Fishing Report 1 26 2013
Post by: davidhoheisel on January 27, 2013, 11:32:15 AM
We went out to Buckeye lake on 1 26 2013, The is off of Fairfield beach was 4 to 5 inches.
We fished in 6 to 9 feet between the marsh and the Island. There were a lot of guys who were out, Please be careful as you get closer to the Marsh!
The fish were very finicky. They would come up and look at the bait and if you moved it to much they would leave. The bit was tuff.
I caught 2 keepers on a Jiggin Rapala tipped with a minnow head and 6 shorts.
I heard they are biting better today.
Please use your spud bar and check your own ice!

I nearly went Monday but didn't have anyone to go with so I chickened out. Sounded like I should have gone anyway because there were people. Oh well... next good ice!
