All I know is I want some fishable ice, and then the lakes to be open by March 29.  That's my first bass tournament of the year.  Good Friday comes early this year.  Every year I fish the good Friday open at Westville lakes out by  Alliance.  I never win anything there, but it gets rid of the cabin fever and into tournament mode for the new year.  I lose $60 to a friend from high school every year.  He always gets a top 5 there while I always weigh in 1 fish!

The worst part is the snow is killing us. In 24 hr period my home lake didn't even gain measurable amount of ice. At best the ice we get by next weekend will be mostly white and turn to crap with warm temps or rain which both have plagued us this year.
